remembering dresses

When you went to try on your dress, did you write down the styles you tried on so you remembered which one you liked best? how do you remember if you don't?! Did someone do it for you??

Yes do so, but it seem each store has it's own #'s so be carefull. You can always try and take a pic.

i took pics and then wrote down the style and number

butttt i bought one of the dresses that day
couldnt leave without it
its definately true that they say you just know
and dont let anyone tell you you must look at 400 dresses before you pick one

sooo not the case!

Re: remembering dresses

I take pics whenever I can but what I have been doing is this.

I go dress shopping with a list of dresses that i would like to try on (I usually call up ahead of time to make sure they have most of them). Then when I go try them all on, I walk out of the store deciding on only one of the dresses out of the lot, that way I am not torn between a bunch of dresses when I leave the store. Next time I go dress shopping, if I find something else I like, I compare it to the original dress I found and decide which one I like better, that way I walk out of that store with only one dress on my mind. That's why at this moment, I only have one dress in the running.

I am going to be going dress shopping again this weekend and I have a feeling that I'm going to love one of these dresses. I have been dying to try on some of these San Patrick dresses (I am obsessed!)

Re: remembering dresses

I try to take pictures as much as I can. Also, my MOH takes notes... she writes down the style number & description of dress (because most stores have their own #), the price, AND everyone's reactions & comments. So if I walk out of the dressing room saying 'I love the fabric' or my mom says 'this one is gorgeous' or whatever, she writes it down. In my mind, I always rank them so I walk away knowing which is my #1 favorite of each store but the comments help me compare across multiple visits & weekends. Plus it's funny to read them over after the fact - half the time I can't hear all the comments and don't even realize what I've said!!
