Renaissance of Astoria

I actually went there to take a look at it. It's a nice place. Very intimate and only one event can be hosted at a time. The only thing is if you plan to have your ceremony there, it would be in the middle of the dance floor. Then the guests would retire to the mezzanine level while the dance floor is converted. It's a very classical decor with burnished wood and muted colors. I originally inquired for a Saturday night wedding in July and the quote I got with a few extras like a piano player for the cocktail hour came to about 90 pp. The neighborhood isn't that great. It's right by Astoria Park and the Triboro Bridge. It's on the ground floor of an apartment building.

It was definitely a place we were considering. Their menu was very appealing and more towards the gourmet and inventive side for catering. I loved the atmosphere. However, the only reason we didn't book this place was because of the location and the other places we looked at offered more value for the money.
