I've been in love with Demetrios gowns forever and so going there was great. I worked with this woman who was so sweet and really listened to me. For the first time, I didn't get thrown into a strapless gown 'just to see'
Anywho...I really liked two VERY different gowns. I am NO WHERE near being finished looking for dresses, but I think I am narrowing my vision down.
I am torn between getting a very full skirt with a defined waist, or a more a-line and sleeker dress.
Here are photos of two that I really liked. They are both Demetrios. I can't really find the sleeker one on line. But I included one just like it (I tried this one on too) but it's fuller.

You know I LOVE the last dress Leese!!! I think it is so elegant & very flattering!!! I can picture you in it & looking so beautiful!

OMG Leese were you at Lillette's trying on that dress the other day?? A bride had that dress on the other night when I was ordering mine. It's gorgeous...I love the work in the middle.

Hey Leese,
I love the last dress you posted. I tried it on and it is so flattering. The only problem that I had was it was silk it didn't come in pure white and thats what I had my heart set on since I have such dark hair white looks better. Anyways if you haven't found the one yet good luck. You will know when you try it on.

I'm still shopping.
I tried on this dress -which is the same designer as the one above (Forever Bridal). It's silk satin in 'natural' - very luxurious feeling.
It had similar qualities as the last one with the bead work in the middle.... It's also the same designer as the strapless one with the lace and bow from the other page... seems i'm quite fond of this designer!

that is a pretty dress leese but I am still partial on the original Forever Bridals one!!! When did you see this new dress??

I agree - although I don't have a pic of me in the 'cumberbund' dress as I call it - I do like it a lot.
Hoping to get one of me in it soon.

honestly, this is my least favorite. I don't think it does as much for your shape as some of the others....
I know you don't want one, but strapless seems to be the most flattering for you so far....

Thanks... I agree - the last one is my least favorite...but the material was the same as the good ones and it was my size...so a girl's gotta try it on. I hated the front pleats...no good.
Wait till I get a pic of the tank and cumberband one --- a bit more 'me'.
i'm not anti-strapless...and the dress you posted is the same designer as these two I'm talking about... but i just don't want strapless. i agree it looks pretty good...but strapless just isn't for me!

princessrachel wore that dress, and she looked gorgeous (cumberbund) I actually will not have strapless either- I feel it's a little too common and I wanted something a little different...
to get a pick of myself in the dress, I sent the bridal shop lady out of the room to find some veils for me and then my sister snapped the pic- maybe that will work for you...

yep! My MOH was just on honeymoon with princessrachel and i was like... 'oh - she wore that dress i like!' She looked great in it.
i've been pretty good as you can see of getting the elusive pic... i just didn't have anyone with me that was adept at it!
