Renovated Larkfield Brides in 2013

I'm getting married at the new Larkfield 3/15/14. I have some questions for brides who have already gotten married there since the new grand opening. Thanks in advance for your input!

-What is the actual name of the venue to put on the invitation lol? I've see 'Larkfield Manor', 'The Larkfiend', and 'Larkfield'

-What do the lobby flowers look like?

-What do the menu cards look like that they supply?

-Do they have baskets in the bathroom or do we have to bring that in?

-When do we pick lighting color, ice sculpture, and lighting dancefloor design?

-Does Larkfield put votives on cocktail hour and/or reception tables?

-Are we able to put things on lobby fireplace (candles/pics)? What about a table for guest book and family pics?

a few answers:
~ it's just Larkfield but we still put Larkfield Manor because our people know it as such.
~ Lobby flowers were branchy @ the opening but i think they switch them out
~ menu cards are ivory and rectangular
~ baskets we need to ask again at our final meeting sunday, but i think they do!
~ most 'choosing' is done at final meeting, about a month before
~i dont think they do anything for cocktail hour tables anymore? you may be able to get the candleabra for your reception- ask now!
~ we are putting our tables (memorial/ guest book) in the hospitality room (if you are in the big room you should have this?) which later turns into cocktail hour room- the room on the right under the stairs.

THANK YOU SO SO MUCH! Few more followups haha

-Are you putting your place cards on that front table where the flowers are?
-Do the menu cards have your name and/or date on them?
-What's the candleabra??
-I'm in the big reception room and have the 2 cocktail hour rooms. Is that 1st cocktail room where you're putting the pictures/guest book? Are you using a table for this?
-Are you putting anything on the fireplace?
-Are you using Dortonis for the cake? If so, when did you meet with them?
-Did you block hotel rooms? If so, which one?

Thanks Lauren I've been meaning to ask you if you did your menu. Maybe I'll choose your wedding date for my last meeting so I can crash your wedding J/K LOL...

we were supposed to go last saturday but then i had to go to Canada for work.... rescheduled for sunday.... I can't wait! but we asked about the menu cards last time. i am wondering about the escort cards...i want the old style (not the typed up 'list' version)

as long as you arent wearing a white dress, go ahead and crash! lol

@butrfly1rm I'm a Larkfield bride. I used Larkfield on my invite. For the flowers I'm using a house vendor so they can work the details on what they can do and what they can't. I'm not going to use place cards. I'm doing a seating frame instead. I think it would be next to the lobby table. I'm using black forest for my cake. I think they are a house vendor. I made my appointment 2 months before for the cake. I was told that was tight... It's next week so we shall see. Lauren and I are both using Hampton Inn in Commack. They didn't give us much perks. I think for every ten rooms we get $100 off our room. At the opening and the few other times I've been there I saw a welcome basket. I will ask at my appt but it seems that I won't provide one.

-Are you putting your place cards on that front table where the flowers are? *they now offer a 'list' style which is outside your room's door. otherwise i think the escort cards go in the hospitality room-- this is one of our questions for sunday!

-Do the menu cards have your name and/or date on them? **we saw someone's a few weeks ago and they did have both.

-What's the candleabra?? **they have candelabra for the tables... you can see it online if you google probably. a lot of people use them and add flowers from florist. we aren't.

-I'm in the big reception room and have the 2 cocktail hour rooms. Is that 1st cocktail room where you're putting the pictures/guest book? Are you using a table for this? **yes and we are asking how this works on sunday-- i think they are displayed somehow in the 1st room, starting at hospitality hour.

-Are you putting anything on the fireplace? **no, i never thought of it! honestly if i were a guest i don't think i would notice anything on any of the fireplaces

-Are you using Dortonis for the cake? If so, when did you meet with them? *no we are using blackforest, we met them in april or so.

-Did you block hotel rooms? If so, which one? *yes, hampton (after the wingate closed down on us in april, when we already had some booked) unfortunately, there's no shuttle but we are using mayfair limo for one and it's a great rate!

did you see the 'hostess stands' - they are gold and in the lobby- they have space for the seating list, may save you some money on a frame?

I have a frame. My co worker gave me frame she bought from khols. (Free for me!!) I have an easel at my mom's house but I will look again and take a pic of the hostess stand before deciding. Thanks...

Thanks so so much!

Hoping they have a bathroom basket there, so all I have to do as add a cute sign!

Didn't see the hostess stand for seating. I'm gonna do placecards, so I'm assuming they'll have a table set up in the lobby or cocktail room to display them.

I'll probably throw some pics of me and FH on the fireplace in the cocktail room. I'd also like to display family pics somewhere too.

Do we have to use the candleabra? I already picked out my centerpieces and I'm not sure how it'll look.

Glad they personalize menu cards!

My wedding is in March, so I'll probably set up a meeting for the cake sometime in October.

I'll probably be blocking rooms at either the Sheraton or Hyatt Regency- any book there?

Mayfair gave me a price of $417 each way for a 33 person. Did you do better?

we arent using the candelabra.

i booked a 14 person for less, which works because they will go back & forth for up to 2 hours.

Hi! See I knew you would get more answers to your questions. We actually have our cake tasting this Friday with Dortonis and we are booked at the Sheraton.

Thanks girls for answering a lot of questions I have yet to think of. Been busy getting our invites done and other things.

Going to see Harry tomorrow night so anything else anyone needs answers to just let me know! We are probably using the Candelabras, I was told they were $10 each to rent, which is worth it for me to do!

I know! I think my florist is still going to put flowers on them but for her to rent them it would have been a lot more than $10!
