does any body know of a rabbi or a rabbi service where you can use a rabbi for a ceremony? My rabbi won't' perform our ceremony b/c its on a saturday.

We don't belong to any Synagogue, so we had to find a Rabbi for just our wedding.
We found one will do pretty much anything. He's letting us get away with bare shoulders and Kippahs on just the bridal party. Our Chuppah is completely untraditional and will be hung from the ceiling instead of having the 4 poles.

Rabbi Alan Stein 516-365-8809 HE performed my ceremony, great guy, performed a personal, warm ceremony.

I would think that if you found a rabbi that does interfaith marriages he would do a Sat. night. My fh isn't jewish so we're getting married by a cantor and a father. fm me if you want cantors info.

I don't think most Rabbis will do a wedding before sundown on a Saturday. When I looked at the Sands catering hall in Lido Beach, the BM there said that he could find Rabbis that would do it ( I was worried about the dates of Tishabov (sp))... you might try giving them a call as a last resort if you don't find anyone.

We're using a cantor because we're getting married in my church (FH's Jewish). My FH actually found him on here Dr. Cohen. FM me for more info
