Should FH rent or buy Tuxedo?

My FH bought his only because I have 5 cousins between the ages of 25-30 who are likely to get married within the next 2-3 years. So instead of renting a tux 5 times, he just bought his.

We are renting FH's...we don't have any other occasions to wear it to so its kind of a waste for us.

I think that depends upon how much usage you're really going to get out of it. Initially we were seriously contemplating buying his tux, but we couldn't think of another time that we'd actually use it. We don't go to a lot of black tie events, and even if you're in another wedding they may want him to wear the tux that they pick out instead of his personal tux so you can't even use it there, you know? So we decided to rent it. Plus it's free for the groom at Mens Warehouse so that's an added bonus, versus spending $900 on a tux for one night, you know?
