Do you think $275 is a lot to pay for 4 days (in Disney) for a sebring convertible? I'm trying to find the best deal but FH doesn't want to drive a little compact car so i'm left with limited options. I guess this is a normal price right?

word of wisdom..... if you book a compact car, 90% of the time when you get there they upgrade you to a standard size anyway. We always rent a car when we head down to florida and we have always gotten one.... we like Thrifty. Check them out and google coupons.

Just a question.....if you're staying in Disney - why rent a car? One of the things I love about Disney is never having to drive anywhere.

oh. Ok - then the price seems right. JamDancer is right, if you book compact they usually try to sell you an upgrade. If you belong to AAA, Hertz gives you a discount. Also, so do a lot of credit card companies.
But $275 sounds about right.

Thanks! Is Thrifty located at the Orlando International Airport? I found a good rate through them, but I just want to make sure we can pick up the car onsite and don't have to travel off-site to go get it. Please let me know. Thanks!!!

do you have a BJ's or Costco membership? they sometimes have really good deals on their websites and you can usually use a coupon with it. FH and I are going the week before you, using alamo and a sebring convertible is $205 for 4 days. hope this helps.

Re: Rental car for HM
you might want to rethink the convertable in florida. FH and i rented one a few years back when we went to clearwater beach (tampa area)....it was so hot and the sun was so strong, we barely used it. convertables are considered 'premium', and you'll pay way more than a standard.
but of course.....everyone should rent one at least once in their lives!!!
have fun!
