if so, can you tell me which company you went through? is it usually the same as the car insurance you go through? also, if you dont mind sharing how much you pay, you can FM that if you want.

we had renters insurance thru state farm! my car insurance is geico... it doesnt really matter really where you get it from, but there might be a slight discount if you use the same company as your car insurance..not sure tho

i have mine through all state. it was like $100 a year but once i added the ring onto the policy it jumped to over $200 a yr

I had my renter's insurance through Travelers. It was cheap - only about $125-150 a year. Once I put my e-ring on the policy though it jumped up to about $300 a year.

We have renter's insurance through State Farm. We used to have Allstate but had a bad experience with them.
Premiums vary based on your coverage and deductible, but is usually around $150 -200 a year. If you want to add additional things, like your e-ring, it's usually more, sometimes double the premium, depending on the value.

We have Traveler's, and it costs somewhere around $200/year, we live in Queens so it might cost more than some places on LI.
