I've never rented before --- about how much is this a month for a 2 bedroom apartment with rent of $1400? I don't even know what gets factored in when they figure it out or where to look.... please advise :) thanks!

Re: Renter's policy? (XP NWR)
I went with Allstate. We have our auto ins with them and receive a multi policy discount. I originally was with Travelers, but rec'd a better rate and coverage with Allstate. Things that are factored in are # of rooms, # of floors, construction type - brick, frame, etc. You can get a rider to included your e-ring and wedding rings or even if your DH is a baseball card collector you can insure those. I honestly don't remember what we pay now because DH pays that bill, but anywhere from $250-300 (annual) then the add'l for the rings, etc. It's WORTH it! Peace of mind!

I answered you on NWR
but I pay $36 a month - with Met Life
I live on the beach which was extra
and I have an extra $50K rider for my clothes
the policey included $12K for clothing- but that wouldn't cover much - so I upped it
