Re: REnting a Charter Bus???

My second cousin did it - it was in VA, but I thought it was GREAT!

I'd check first with your limo co. And then an airport taxi/bus (like for the airports).

heres the info

bus info

H & J Bus Tours Inc
(631) 471-6737 1048 Terry Rd
Ronkonkoma, NY

we had the bus from 7pm-3am

how it works is you pay 675 for as many hours as you need as many trips as you need them to take. on new years eve limo and bus companies were gouging and wanted between 1500-2000. i lucked out the bus is so clean it was a 49 passenger atlantic city bus. good luck harry is great please tell him i said hello. keep me posted if it works for you.

Re: REnting a Charter Bus???

I quoted charter buses too and this is what I found.

ALERT Buses $650 (10 Hours)
A friend of a friend used them and were happy. But I passed them on the road twice and they were very dirty on the outside.

Hamtpon Jitney $825 (8 hours), plus $125 tip for each driver.

American Luxury Limo (8 Hours)
$900

Coachman (8 hours)
$1000

Another company: Inter-County but I haven't called for a quote.

I searched hi and low and the best price by far was with CoachUsa for $595 for a 49 passenger bus. I reserved it for about 9 hours.

IreneinChicago, do you have the contact info?

Robeymuse & IreneinChicago:

Are you having the buses take the guests back to NYC? Also are you asking the buses to pick up from one site or drop off at one site in NYC?

Re: REnting a Charter Bus???

We decided to block hotels in Port Jefferson rather than NYC. I figure that the ride from NYC to Oakdale is pretty long as is it, and especially over a holiday weekend or any weekend in the summer heading out to LI. So we are having the bus take people to and from Port Jefferson (20 minutes). The guests that are going to stay in the city, can figure out their own transportation or get to PJ to have the bus take them to the reception. I also think an 1+ at 1am on the bus is a long ride.

yes. almost all of our OOT guests are staying in the city so we are taking them back at the end of the night.
they are going to pick up at two locations in NYC and drop off at the same two.
