Anyone have experience in renting a house (like in the hamptons) for a wedding. Of course you would have to plan everything...but anyone know how much it would cost for 120 people...like one big party? A pretty BIG house too!

I think there's a girl on The Knot, parrishnut, who actually owns a house in the Hamptons that she rents out for events. You might try looking her up. That sounds like a great idea--so much fun!

I think she posts primarily on LI Local message boards and sometimes NYC--same as me. Though I haven't been over there too much since I started posting on LIW I hope you find something great! Have you looked into Shelter Island also or are you set on the Hamptons?
