Its me again! Sorry to be a pain. How did you go about renting cars while your stay in hawaii? Was it apart of your package? How much should I expect ot pay?

Re: Renting Cars in Hawaii
We rented in each of the islands- I think you need it if you like to go out and explore- esp. on your own. I hate relying on tour companies. I think it was about $50 a day for a convertible or jeep. We actually had a good deal with Alamo and wound up paying about $30 a day - they were running a special.

Re: Renting Cars in Hawaii
We are going to rent cars in maui and kauai but our travel agent said its not necessary to rent one in oahu, most hotels have shuttle to everything. I have been using in and out travel, its one of the watermill's recommended vendors.

Our travel agent said the same thing - its not necessary to rent one in Oahu.
And some packages offer a rental or breakfast and you choose (it depends on how long your staying)

Our package (Maui) comes with a rental car and the travel agent said it wasn't necessary to rent one while in Oahu.

Re: Renting Cars in Hawaii
We rented one in Oahu and I think we needed it. But if you don't mind depending on other tranportation thats cool, but we liked doing thins on our own.
