renting classic cars

renting classic cars

My Fiance and I were thinking of renting a classic muscle car for our wedding day. He really likes the old camaros, gtos, challengers, and the likes and we think it would be really fun to drive around in one for the day. And the pictures would be awesome. Does anyone know of a place that has these kinds of cars to rent, or know anyone who would be willing to let us either use their car for a couple of hours or follow us to take pictures with?
THANKS!!!

we want to do this too - we dont want the standard white rolls you can get at any limo place - but were thinking of a hot rod or something in a different color (purple?! black?).
my idea was to check out car shows this summer and ask around... lots of those guys are retired and would probably do it for little or nothing. we figure we're not going to need champagne in the back - just want to take a few pictures and head from point a - b and will only need it for 1.5/2 hours max.

we wanna do the same thing! i posted weeks ago about this but no one responded. I will be doing it more for my dad hes a big muscle head and i thought it would be cute for us to show up at the RH in a Chevelle or GTO instead of the regular classic car.

We are looking to do the same thing! I've tried searching around but only found places that rent out sports cars... Did you girls find any info on muscle cars?!

maybe you could visit one of those Classic Car shows in the parking lots they have on LI (seems like every weekend, somewhere) and proposition someone to be your driver for the pics or meet you for pics. I would think SOMEONE would like to earn money on the side, tax free. Thoughts?

Saturday nights at Cedar Beach in Babylon (Ocean Pkwy) there are cars, too. And I think one night during the week at Nathans in Long Beach.... at least there used to be a gathering.

If I was showing a nice car, I would prob consider it!

Re: renting classic cars

I was thinking about going to the car shows as well. Theres one in the yaphank fire dept parking lot and I heard there is also one out in riverhead both on tuesday nights. You would think there would be more places renting these cars by the hour.

Im hoping to find someone. The car shows is a good idea though. The only thing I do know is that most people who own nice muscle cars only bring them out if its perfect weather. So if anyone has a wedding in the winter or in the early spring when it most likely rains its gonna be harder to find someone.

But thank you for all the intormation. Best of luck to everyone.
