MESA, Ariz. -- Pitchers and catchers report to the Cubs' Spring Training camp today at Fitch Park. And Greg Maddux might just be there. The Associated Press reported late Tuesday night that the four-time Cy Young winner agreed to a $24 million, three-year deal with the Cubs.
According to The AP, the deal is pending a physical, but Maddux, who turns 38 in April, is expected to report today with the rest of the Cubs pitchers and catchers.

No big loss for the Yankees (if they were really pursuing him). I like the Cubs, too... gotta admit it.

While I wouldn't have minded if he came to the Yanks, I thought that we really didn't need him, either . As I posted yesterday, he's a little past his prime .. lets focus on young pitchers now!

I didnt want to say it before.. but now the Yankees are really in trouble!
My God.. trouble.. trouble.. trouble. If the Yankees don't get more pitching and the hitting doesn't work out.. their season is in big trouble. Trouble. Trouble. Trouble.
No left-handed pitching, a bunch of maniacs in the clubhouse (and the bleachers.. those people are sad-little psycho-paths), high ticket prices and burnt hot dogs making people sick, it's going to be a a long year at the Stadium. Sure, they'll make the play-offs.. but then the Red Sox will run all over them. So sad.
Soooo........ go Cubbies!
And I'll be sitting in the stands right behind the plate at Shea.. because no one else in their right mind will be there... Happy Days!!! The Amazin' Mets.. gotta love em!

Actually my FH will keep you company at Shea ... he can use a buddy to go to Mets games with, since I won't lower myself to enter that minor league stadium in Queens..Why, when I can stand amongst my fellow pinstriped fans in the the House that Ruth Built!!!

And any team that has a BASEBALL (Mr. Met) as their mascot has MORE problems than I care to mention!!!
