repost BHB... HELP!.. Hair make-up vent and advice!

Hi!.... I don't post often, but this one definately needed it!... Please help!... My hair salon, that I have been loyal to for ten years was going to open the shop early for my party (Sunday morning, August 6) and get us ready for the big day.... well, I went to finalize today, and they are now telling me that it will be $200 dollars for me and $125 for everyone else in my party... all because they are opening the shop an hour early!... I am going to walk out of there paying a thousand dollars just on hair? Am I overreacting??? It is a 130 dollar mark up each, just to open the shop? And this does not include make-up! I just feel so insulted!

With that said, does anyone know of a place or someone/ team that travels or a salon for my hair and make-up... it is two months away, and I am beginning to panic!..... I live in Nassau, South shore! Any help would be greatly appreciated... Thanks!.....

Go to the vendors page and click on hair - contact any of them. I was referred to each of them and they were all willing to help me set up trials and provide cost. Many of them are willing to travel to you on the day of, but you would have to go to them for the trial.

I would recommend each of them, but first try Hair Genie and see if she is available, and if not, start trying the others!

Yeah I agree with you that sound like way too much, especially since they know you. There are so many good places that do hair on LIW. Search the vendors and use someone else!

put up a post on the VHB board that you need a makeup and hair person to come to your house and would like quotes and availability. You'll get tons of responses!!!!

if you don't have too many girls, you could use Mya @ Cosmetic Artistry...she does both hair and makeup. i'm only using her for hair though cause i have 8 that need their hair done and she wouldnt have enough time to do both services. her prices are great too!!!!
