My FH can't think of an appropriate song. They get along well and he doesn't want anything too 'sappy'.

I am wondering the same thing. FI is so so close with his mom but she is not the mushy sappy type.

A lot of mothers like 'Through the Years' by Kenny Rogers. It is kinda hokey but its more for the mom I guess.
