Repost BHB: My wedding is in 12 days and my hair/makeup cancelled on me!
My mother called me this morning to tell me that the person doing my hair and make-up for the wedding can't do it now. She is a friend of my mother's that works in a salon on the upper east side and she was going to take the day off to do my hair and her job isn't letter her take off. (we live on the nassau/suffolk border so there is no going to her to get my hair done, plus it'd be a fortune.) So now I'm 12 days before my wedding with no one to do my hair. I really just don't need this right now!!!!!

Would you be willing to go to a Salon? I think they might actually let some of their stylists come to homes as well...
Ultimate Look Salon in Farmingdale- they do both hair and makeup- they're a vendor on here, under salons.

Poor girl!! I'm sure you can find someone with LIW's help!! There are lots of great artists and stylists out there! I'll you find someone even better!!

I figured they would be! I'm using Stephanie for makeup...using my hairdresser I've had for years who works out of her house.
I really hope this works out for you! Sorry about this added stress! Who needs it?!

certainly not me! stupid concerts coming up shortly after the wedding is giving me way more than enough stress without the wedding! I'm not quite freaked out!

OMG! that is Horrible! you could just shoot some emails off to some of the great vendors here on LIW to see if anyone them might have the day free...cant hurt
Some of the recommended artist are Khalouds Oksana Sarah and Bridget Rock (love them) Mya Bella Mia the bridal touch by elena Jen the hair genie Jillian from gorgeous faces (love her!) Angel eyes
they are all vendors here and you can contact them dirctly to see if any of them are free

Oh no!! how could she cancel on you with such short notice!??!? Maybe you can talk to the owner/boss. It just doesn't seem right!

It wasn't her fault...She requested off at her Salon and they said no. It's a new position for her, so I guess she's not pushing it because she wants to keep her job.

I'm going for a trial with Kacey from Khouloud's Beauty tomorrow. Hopefully it will work out and this nightmare will be over! Thank you for all your help!
