Just got it at Ann Taylor, but DH thinks it might not be dressy enough.

Where is the wedding? If it is an outdoor, garden type of wedding I think it is fine, if not, I don't think it is really dressy enough. Throw on a pair of flip-flops with it and you could go to the mall.

What is it made of? I think it's pretty and with strappy sandals would be nice for a day wedding.

I'm sure it would be fine, but I personally wouldn't wear it to a wedding, I feel it is a bit too casual and I like to dress up for weddings.

Interesting, I thought it was more of a cotton from the picture. If it is silky it may look more dressy in person. Sorry, I'm turning out to be no help at all!

It's a very pretty dress. I think that the dress (from the picture) could go either way. It might work with the right accessories. Try it with a pair of high strappy sandles and a black lacey shawl. People don't usually dress up as much for daytime weddings.

since it is a daytime wedding, i think it would be fine with a pair of nice heels & some accessories. I would also bring a shawl with me.

I think it's fine. We just went to a Saturday night wedding, where I thought it was understood to dress formally, and I saw women with much more casual attire than your dress. It's not that I approve of dressing down, because I don't, but I think your dress would be perfectly fine for an afternoon affair.

I think so - You can dress it up w/ strappy sandals and your hair and accessories.
