Can anyone recommend a good place on Long Island, Nassau or Suffolk to bring my wedding dress and veil to be cleaned and boxed? I got one quote from our dry cleaners but I wanted to see if anyone knew of any good places?

I took mine to Dutch Girl in Blue Point...cost $180, which seemed nearly 25-30% cheaper than other cleaners in the area...they preserved the dress and my double-tiered veil. It was ready as soon as I got back from the HM, but the proprietor seemed annoyed when I picked it up because I wanted him to open up the box to prove to me it was my actual dress...(can you imagine I put the thing away for 30-35 years and open it up and it's not my dress?!?) Anyway, he said I was actually 'early' to pick it up because they had other dresses in the back that were for brides who married over a year ago!! HTH.

Meurice garment care in manhasset. They are expensive,but the way they preserve the gown they encourage you to look at the gown whenever you want and they even give you special gloves so u dont get oil from your hands on the gown. It was a big splurge, but I figured it was worth it.
