Repost from 06 boards- Girls with a large chest, where do you get your bathing suits?

I am looking for a tankini style (I hate my stomach)....any suggestions? I wear a 34DD, so regular bathing suits don't usually have enough space for my 'girls'. I am a size 8, so I cant buy an XL bathing suit and call it a day. I need the cups to be big, but the bathing suit to be a size 8 or Medium. This proves every summer to be an almost impossible feat for me.

You might want to try Blums in Patchogue. My sister went there to get her suit and she said they have tons. You might be able to get a larger top and a smaller bottom.

A friend of mine has the same issue, and she gets hers at either Nordstroms or Bloomingdales

Yes I agree..Blums has a huge selection..I too have a lg chest..40D.. I hate shopping for a bathing suit. The people there can help u too..

blums in patchogue is great for bathing suits i beleive that yoy can also mix and match sizes there for that type of bathing suit.

Definitely check out Blum's. They have a large selection and a lot are sold as separates so you can mix and match sizes and styles.

I have always shopped at Great Shapes in Roslyn Heights on Mineola Avenue. I beleive they also have a store in Woodbury on Jericho Turnpike. I am a size 32F in the chest area so I don't think you will have a problem finding anything in this store. This is what they specialize in - bathing suits. They are a bit pricey but are VERY helpful. Each of my tankinis were $100, but worth every penny. I brougth 2 tankinis from them 2 years ago and absolutley love them and still wear them.

there's a place on merrick rd in bellmore/merrick that custom makes them (sorry, i don't remember the name but it's by Signature Florist). an ex-friend of mine had hers custom made there last summer because she's got big 'girls' too. i wear a 36D so i'm pretty big too, but i dont have my suits custom made. i usually wear a triangle string top.

OMG - I feel for you - I used to be a EEE/F before I had my breast reduction surgery - I NEVER wore bathing suits!!!!

I'll never forget the first time I wore a bikini after the surgery - I thought for sure i would still fall out because I was so psychologically messed up!!!
