Any recs? We have friends coming from SC so we are going into the city tomorrow and they wanted to go to a fun restaurant. Those are the only ones I could think of. Any ohter suggestions would be great!

Ive been to both....but maybe as a new yorker, I wasnt impressed.
Id rather go somewhere typically 'Noo Yawk' and go somwhere in Chinatown, Little Italy or to a cute cafe uptown
However of thats what they are asking for, Jeckyll and Hyde is more entertaining....Mars 2021 is more like eating in Star Trek
both are ridiculously overpriced though...foods good enough

I've been to Jekyll, it was fun but the food was AWFUL! Maybe little italy? More authentic...

Mars 2012 was terrible! Cool atmosphere, but the food was awful. I would definitely go somewhere down in Little Italy. You can usually never go wrong.

if it was between those two, i would say jekyll and hyde is the better experience.
for out of towners, lucky cheng's is a riot and serendipity 3 has great desserts

I agree with the others- the food at both of those places sort of stink...
I think Little Italy would be great- you can walk around Mulburry after and get Gelato. YUM
