My mom and I are debating this...

I have heard that you are supposed to make the people youa re closer with walk closest to you (right before the bride)

but my mm thinks it is supposed to bein size order and that the shortest people walk downthe aisle first

any thoughts??

Hmmmm....I don't believe there is a 'right' way, but then again I've never read an etiquette book on this. I think whichever way you prefer would be fine!

i felt more comfortable with the bm holding hte most responsibilities (ie hold my bo-k, give me the groom's ring, detailed in what's going on throughout the day, tell me my cue, etx) to stand or be closest to me. but i understand how size order may make the photos look nicer. thankfully, everyone in our party were kinda the same height.

Size order looks nicer on the altar, if they'll all be standing with you on the altar...sometimes only the MOH is on the altar, so ask your church,etc.

I would out the people closest to you closer. For example, the MOH always walks in last, right before the bride, so they way I'd do it is probably my sister is my MOH and then my best friend, and then everyone else. If it doens't matter or you don't want to rank them, size order is fine!

I think youre both right... The tallest to the shortest walk out and then the MOH, which is usually the closest to you regardless of height.. That way the heights end up like a 'U' with the tallest on the outside.. thought the 4 in the middle can always change that effect LOL Id say anyway you want though :)

I just set it up with who came first out of my mouth. There was no rhyme or reason. I didn't feel like stressing out about it
