I am stressing over invites....we are up to 225 but I really didn't want that many people but I figure we will get some nos...
Could you tell me how many did you invite and how many actually came?

Its a tough thing to 'guesstimate' but for event planning I usually use a 30% decline rate... so if you've invite 225 that would mean appx 160-170 attending.... That's purely an 'average' though, and it would really depend-- of the 225 invited if 200 are REALLY close friends or family who live in the area, your acceptance rate would likely be higher... I sorted my invitation list into 'definites' maybes, and not likelys, and our guesses were pretty accurate once the rsvps came in... HTH!

i think it really depends...we invited about 200...half were OOters....and i was ecstatic that we only had 110!!!!!!

we had A LOT more no's than we expected ... many of those were 'and guests' where the invitee decided to come alone.
but i also know of lots of girls who had a lot more yeses than expected.

when i was discussing this with my RH for the guarantee number she said its usually 20% but since everyone lives on the island that we are inviting she said make it 15%.
