Repost from 09 board: ? For JT Brides, please

Hi! I was wondering if there are different menu choices for jericho terrace. When I was there, they just told me of two: a menu with 5 entree choices OR family/russian style. I noticed on LIW some brides talking about a deluxe menu. What are the different options?

Does anyone know of the family styles and if that's a good option? If anyone used this please let me know how this works.

We were given the choice between the regular menu...choice of 5 entrees...or the deluxe menu which is a choice of 9 entrees (for extra money)

You wanna know something?? I wasnt even given a choice!!! I got the deluxe menu... I had no clue there was even another choice until someone on this site told me about it. I think regardless I would have gone with the deluxe menu b/c the guests get a choice of 9... but still.... I would have liked the choice and the difference of price. Are you locked into the 5 menu thing?

same here... i think you get the deluxe menu when you can guarantee a certain number of guests ...

I'm sure they dont have a problem upgrading to the deluxe menu...but I doubt they will want to downgrade...that would be less money for them.

I'm sure they dont have a problem upgrading to the deluxe menu...but I doubt they will want to downgrade...that would be less money for them.

Yea, I agree!!! You know them.... when they hear about you spending more- their ears perk up LOL!!

I booked JT and wasn't told about the menu with 5 options. One of the things we said that we wanted was an abundant amount of food so I think that he just told us about the deluxe menu figuring that's what we wanted. I would have liked to know what's not included on the 5 that is on the 9 and what the price difference was. Oh well I guess...

lol same here, i was also only told about the 9 choice entree deluxe menu option. I had no idea there was a 5 menu option, i found out later on after i booked and saw some ladies mention it on here. I do notice that its usually in a different room than mine where they offer that 5 menu option. Who knows but yeah i did the 9 choices deluxe menu.

What room are you in? i think somebody once mentioned to me that a certain room you get the 5 options and that would explain all this

Im in the skylight room. Its not fully open with the terrace room like yours though, denise. But I would like to know what was extra in the 9 choice menu :D

hmmm still i would think you would be given the choice of the 9 deluxe.

WEll what are you given with the 5 choices then i can tell you what you are not given

we were given:

1.) aged prime NY shell steak
2.) chicken sorrentino
3.) Norwegian Salmon
4.) Jumbo Shrip Oreganata
5.) Grilled Vegetable Plate

well we were given the choice of choosing filet mignon or ny shell steak and we picked filet mignon

then the rest were given as is, here are the other 4 choices in the 9 menu

veal boscaiolo, which is medallions of milk fed veal in a porcini mushroom and cognac sauce

roast long island duckling served with raspberry glaze

double cut stuffed pork chop filled with an apple, sausage and sage stuffing

overstuffed gigantoni-overssized stuffed rigatoni with sun dried tomatoes, ricotta & broccoli rabe served with a light plum tomato reduction
