So, I have a rather large tattoo on my back that is not exactly appropriate. While I knew my mother would have an issue, I just found out that my FH has a bit of an issue with it as well. To be honest, I didn't expect that. I've looked at different designers, and there aren't many that have backs that would cover my tattoo. The ones that do, I don't think I'd like to wear. How annoying would a shawl or wrap be? It's a spring wedding and I don't want to be too warm either.
Any suggestions?

There is a tattoo cover up kit that is made.. They sell it on the knot.com.. You can also ask you make-up artist.. Maybe she/he has some suggestions... One of my BM's has a big tattoo on her back and my make-up artist is covering it with waterproof airbrush make-up.. It would be (IMO) better to just cover than have to wear a gown you really dont want to wear.

i have a decent size tattoo on my chest.... i hear that the cover up kit works really well although the air brushing isn't a bad idea either if your already going to be doing it for make up.

Will have to try the cover up kit and see how it does in a trial run. Just worried it will be very noticeable....that people will see the color changes on my back. Can't hurt to try. Thanks for the info.

my friend Kelly (kellybean) had a tatoo she didn't want showing on her back as well and had a bolero jacket made. It looked GORGEOUS and she didn't have a 'heat' problem. She did get married in February - but you can have something made that's nice & light and will cover you up...
i think you'd be better off with a jacket type thing, because a shawl, you'll get VERY tired of holding that thing up all night!

i do a lot of theatre and we've always used Dermablend...the stuff is amazing. honestly i think it's better than those little cover up kits. Also, talk to ur makeup artist..if they do airbrushing most likely they can do coverage...
but seriously - DERMABLEND!!! the stuff is great.
