Hi 08ers, I know a lot of us are on this thread way more than BHB, so I thought I'd try posting this again here. FH is pretty desperate, and between school/work doesn't have any time to do this on his own:
FH just started night classes after work and doesn't have a car, and the commute from home to work to school back home on the subway / LIRR is killing him.
If you or anyone you know is selling a cheap car (doesn't have to be anything great; just something that will last the next 2 years till he gets his degree and can buy himself something new), could you post here or FM me? It would be such a help - thank you so much.

My cousin may be giving my FH her car. If she does, my FH will be getting rid of his. But i've been waiting till she gets her new car. If she comes in from jersey this weekend i'll ask her about it.

Thanks! My FH is really desperate. He's trying to get into nursing school, which you pretty much need straight A's to do, and he has to wake up at 4:20 every morning to take 3 trains to work. It's awful.

my FBIL is selling his car.. its a 2000 mustang...it has about 80k miles on it (i think) and is selling it for about 6500... i know thats not cheap but its a geat car.. if your interested let me know!

Thanks Meg, that actually sounds like a good deal, but it's more than he can spend. We're saving for a wedding, you realize.
He's hoping to get a cheap car now ($1000-$3000 or so) and use it for the next 2-3 years, until he starts making the big bucks and can buy a new one.

we sell town cars ALL the time (my fam owns a car service). They have very high mileage on them but they last FOREVER. We usually sell them for $1000-1500...... FM me if you're interested.
