Repost from BHB -- Casablanca dress and RK Bridal

Hello ladies! I finally have been doing some serious dress shopping.

I went to Roma Bridals in NJ last weekend, and then Macy's at the Willowbrook mall. Romas which was supposed to be discounted had a Demetrios dress for $700 more than it was at Macy's -- I couldn't believe it.

Anyway, today I went to RK Bridal, and found a Casablanca dress that I really love, and think it might be the one!!
I've never really heard of Casablanca before -- anyone know anything about the brand -- is it known to be good quality?
Also, anyone have any experience at RK bridal?
I had a lovely time trying on dresses, my attendant Nicole was wonderful. I'd just love to hear feedback on dress arrival time and their alterations department.

I am contemplating between two dresses and one is a Casablanca. I love it. I tried it on at Lillettes in Baldwin.

ETA: I believe empressdani got her dress at RK and it is a Casablanca. You may want to FM her.

Yay! You ladies made me feel so much better. Randilotus -- love your dress! The one I tried on is similar -- lots of lace too.

I got a Casablanca from RK.. my dress came in a few weeks ago.. it is gorgeous.. great quality beadwork and lace... i will fm you picks when I get my camera and computer at home running!!

I have to say my BM wore Casablanca on her wedding day and it was the most stunning dress I have ever seen.... The designer makes beautiful dresses

I have purchased a casablanca dress and think its amazing. I tried on many gowns and felt the quality of workmanship in this dress was just amazing for the price. Make sure you shop around when it comes to pricing i think RK would be the most inexpensive but also check at the village bridal boutique in babylon. I found my dress a few hundred cheaper then a few wedding dress shops on long island and they have a excellent seamstress there.

My sister got a casablanca dress from RK and it was beautiful!!! She had no problems with RK Bridal and her dress was beautiful-when she tried it on another bride asked if she was going to take it b/c she wanted to try it on after seeing it on my sister. It looked really nice in photos too.

Aww, I was remembered. Yes, i ordered my Casablanca from RK. I loved the person I worked with there and from what I can tell they are very efficient at what they do. The dress was ordered by phone while I stood there and I was given an approximate date of delivery on the spot. I don't know if that is normal but I did like that.

Casablanca appears to be a very respected brand and my dress' quality seemed very good particularly for the reasonable price. RK seems to do alot of business with them as I saw alot of plaques in the store presented from Casablanca to RK so it would seem that they are very familiar and hopefully they would deliver to them quicker...lol

Thank you ladies! You've made me feel so good. I'm in Brooklyn, so RK is convenient to me, an I think that this may be the one! It wa reassuring to hear such positive feedback. I'm going shopping at one more store with my mom today after work - Lotus Bridal in Brooklyn. My mom's friends all told her their kids got dresses there, and we should check it out. But I think the Casablanca may be the one
I loved it when I tried it on, but wasn't 100% sure, but it was the best I've tried on by far. I just have a hard time making decisions, and want to make sure I try on enough before I order. I can't thank you enough for your feedback!
