for your photo/video already? The reason I'm panicking is that my proofs are ready, but I'm told that I need to pay the rest of my balance for when I pick them up.
I'm not a very trusting person when it comes to things like this. I feel that I shouldn't have to pay the rest of my balance until I get everything back. All albums and video.
I've heard the stories of the Queens Bridals gals and afraid that can happen to me too.
Any advice? It's in the contract that we pay x amount of $ at certain times (which we did), but they have over $3000 already, so I don't see why I should have to pay any more until I pick up my albums and video.

We paid our entire balance except $1000 and had to pay that when we received our proofs, it was in the contract and we knew before hand.. I look at it this way, if their going to screw us, at least we have our proofs and unedited video, and if they were going to screw me, they were going to do it either way, with or without my final payment... If its in your contract, I doubt there is anything you can do, but maybe ask them if you could give them half of what is left and sign a contract to give the remaining half of that when you get everything else.... HTH Don't worry though, if your using someone reputable you should be fine

we paid for most of it already - i think another 1,800 is due when we get the proofs - im assuming this is a normal procedure but i do see what you are saying especially in light of what has happened recently with the QB girls

We paid 75% the day of the wedding and then the rest when we picked up our proofs.

I had to pay for everything BUT $500 and I have to pay that when the proofs come in...I think a lot of people have this deal or something like it

We paid half ahead and the second half when we picked up our proofs. My video I still have to pay the second half and that starts the editing (i just keep forgetting to call )
I wouldnt worry too much if you are picking up your proofs and paying at the same time
