Repost from BHB- I am livind!!!!

So today I find out that my MOH's sister is doing her daughter's chirstening luncheon at my RH the Sunday before my wedding!!!!

I understand her schedualing issues, and that my RH is affordable (her husband gets shipped to Irak the week after my wedding, and she lives in virginia, while all her family lives in NY) she is taking my wedding as an opportunity to be in town and do her daughter's thing too.

HOWEVER...there are thousands of other places, Sugar Honey Ice Tea....host a freaken barbecue...or something...but why do it at my place!!!

Am I being unrealsitic...crazy...or am I right?!!

FYI- she suggested I book at this hall!!!

Its a totally different type of party so I dont think it will diminish the fact that you are having your wedding there a week later. Think of it as an opportunity to check out your wedding venue once more before your big day.

Honestly I think I would probably be a little upset too... but I agree with the above... it is a completely different kind of event and the hall will have a unique feel when it's all set up for YOUR wedding! Try not to let it bother you... your wedding is what people will remember!

I think it should be fine. Im sure not all of your guests will be at the christening and it will be a totally different atmosphere anyways

i think its okay to feel that way since we all tend to want things to be 'perfect for us/our way' (whatever that may be). so definately vent here and get it out of your system!

but i wouldnt let it realllly get to you (which im sure isnt exactly easy)...

like someone said before...use it as an opportunity to check out your hall and enjoy some of the food!
