Does anyone know why magnet STDs dont stick to mailboxes? I want to buy strips of magnetic material for my DIY STD postcards, but am unsure if this will be an issue. Any response is appreciated. TIA!

Not all mailboxes are made from the same metal. Not all metals are magnetic.
ETA: Also, if you're going to be sending the magnet in a note card, and then envelope, the magnets are not strong enough.

Thanks, that's what I was looking for. Now my own spin off question. Is it a waste to send a non magnetic STD? Because I love my postcards.

No it's not a waste at all - it's just a friendly reminder to 'save the date' - we had folks who kept the magnet, and others who kept the card we sent it to.

Why would that be a waste? My STDs weren't magnetic. If people want to put them on the fridge they'll stick 'em up with another magnet.
