Repost from BHB Mantilla Veil

Original post by NapaValleyGirl

So I went to Kleinfeld this weekend and fell in love with a beautiful Mantilla veil. Cost of Veil $1,800.

With that being said, that veil costs as much as a wedding gown! I've read some posts where girls have gotten their veils at other locations including someplace called 'Barrons?'

Can you let me know where I can find this type of veil without spending an arm and a leg. NYC and Long Island locations are totally fine!

THanks!!!

WOW, what a SIN that places charge that much for a veil. I think that is a slap in the face....they are saying, 'We know we can get any amount of money from you so we will overprice it and laugh in your face' I get so angry!

yeah, i was kinda like 'um what?'

i saw a beautiful mantilla veil at wedding salon (manhasset) for $975. I thought THAT was ridiculous; yours is much worse!

Then they told me that the other veil I had tried on, embroidered, not mantilla, was 2k!!! I was like 'c'mon now!'

Wow, they are idiots! I mean, how else can OTHER places sell the EXACT item for such a lower price??? The 'how' is by inflating the price a LITTLE and not be so greedy!

they do it simply because they can. If a person doesnt want to spend that much on a veil they simply don't have to. But they have clientele that will pay it with no problem, to a person who is worth millions or more to them its nothing. Remember its located in the city and its where very rich people will go to buy it, yes others will buy it too dont get me wrong not just the rich but its by choice, like you said people can just go elsewhere to get it. But if people weren't paying those prices then they wouldn't be selling it for that much which shows they do sell them. And in a way its good bc thats how business works, if they sold their veil at the same price as EVERY other place then small business would lose out bc more people would opt to go there to buy a veil if it was like $200-400 or whatever the average price for a veil is, which i dont know since i havent looked yet.
