Should i put the registry information along with my wedding invitations?

No, that would only be appropriate for a shower.

I agree. Putting registry info in with your invitations sounds like you're fishing for gifts. So registry info goes in the shower invites, because the shower is specifically held for you to be 'showered' with gifts from your registry. After that, if you'd prefer registry gifts to money for your wedding, you can direct people to your wedding web site or have your mother or another relative gently spread the word.

I personally don't think it's apropraite on the shower invitations either. You can put registry info on your website, or have family members spread the info the old fashioned way, by word of mouth.

you really arent supposed 2 ask for gifts at all, even in the shower invites, but most put them in anyway.
