I know it's common to give less then what you were going to give if you went to the wedding, but is $75 dollars a common amount to give?

I think it depends on how close you are with them

I don't know. This is tough because I guess it depends on how close you are to the couple.

I usually give bet. $50-$100, depending on whether or not I have been to all their showers and everything!

I tend to give a gift from the registry if I'm not attending the wedding.

I get something off the registry; I try not to put a monetary amount on it

I think that's reasonable, if there are not going.

Re: Repost from BHB..Wedding Gifts from those not attending
I always give a gift off the registry if it's someone I'm close with. Usually in the $75-100 range, and I try to get something nice like a vase, candlesticks, or something pretty for the home rather than towels or a swiffer or something like that. I definitely don't think you have to give close to what you would have given monetarily as a wedding guest.

idk it varies - when people sent me mine the lowest i got was $25 and the highest was $200 - i would say $100 to 150 is common

For those that did send money... $100 was the lowest amount. I think $200.00 was the highest.
