FI and I don't live together....we were thinking we would have to start looking in Nov. for someplace and one of us move in in January or Feb (our wedding is March 6th)...we are also seriously considering moving out of state, but we will stick around up here for awhile....is this good timing? Where do we look for an apt/house to rent that will allow our dog (she's crated when we are not home).

We are out here in Suffolk...I live in West Sayville and FI lives in Oakdale and we both work about 15 minutes away. If his lawsuit comes sooner than later, we might consider living with his parents until we move (but only if it's for a few months)

What about the apartment complex in Oakdale off of Oakdale Bohemia road, I know they allow animals. My fiance grew up over their so some of the kids he went to shcool with lived in the apartments.

Thanks Bridget! We are thinking of trying to avoid a lease as we don't know when we are going to move to Georgia...hopefully sooner than later...we hate NY now.....A lot of this all depends on the payback from the wedding and his car accident settlement.

a lot depends on what you are looking for. renting a house, apartment in a house, or apartment complex & how much you want to pay. It took me 3 months to find and move into my apartment. Having a pet can make it harder too. So alow for some time to look. If it gets close to the date, you can always use a realtor agent to help you, but you have to pay them a months rent, at least
