Repost from LIF Corolla Vs. RAV-4

I've narrowed my car search to these two models..

Pros and Cons anyone?

Both cars are used (previously leased) and are certified. They both have 80K miles..

The Corrolla fits my budget more.. but I just love the RAV-4...

So what do you guys think?

why: gas effieceny and price and its a great car (i own a matrix which is a corolla)

I own a corollla ('03) and love it. No problems yet and the insurance is cheap on it (they added a lot of new safety features)!

I know you didn't ask anything about this one, but how about the Matrix? Its kind of between the Corolla and the Rav-4. Great on milage, and lots of room. I really love mine!

are the rav 4's four wheel drive? if so are you looking for something like that or an everday kind of car?

and yes I am looking more for an everyday type of car.. but I just think the Ravs are cute.. I know it's a girl thing..lol

I am going back to the dealership tomorrow with my dad.. I'll update tomorrow.

Did you decide? I had a Corolla for 7 years and never had one problem. I just drove a Rav4 the other day and wasn't impressed.

Ok...i'll give you the lowdown

I own a '00 corolla. I swore that I was going to get the rav-4 but the corolla was a better deal at the time, so I sucked it up. I had a minor problem with it shortly after I bought it but it was certified and the dealer took care of it. Even gave me a brand new corolla as a rental since the part needed to be ordered. Knock on wood not another problem with it since.

Not two months ago FH bought a brand spanking Rav-4 with payment LESS than what I'm paying now....not a lease BOUGHT. I love the darn thing. I'm driving FH nuts because anytime we go somewhere I'm begging to drive the thing. It's absolutely great on gas too. Drives more like a car than a 'truck' and if I tell you what a lifesaver it has been. We packed up 80 percent of our stuff when we just moved. He also helped my parents bring home the bathroom vanity that they couldn't get into the car.

I say if you want the Rav go for it. I'm certainly sorry I didn't! I can tell you right now that when my loan is up next year, i'm trading the corolla in and getting the Rav!
