I would give up my bed to MIL/FIL - although I doubt they would take it.
MIL won't even let me sit in the back seat of our car when we drive her somewhere. I think it is rude to make her sit in the back.

my MIL is in her 70's, so I'd never make her sleep on the floor or couch whathaveyou.
My mom/parents...I'd have to pull out couch it for them, or give up my bed. an airmattress doesn't cut it...I can have them virtually sleeping on the floor.
I'd also keep a list of hotels nearby if need be.

it depends
if the other option is a pull out couch or an air mattress i would definitely offer my own bed
if there was a regular extra bed then I would keep my own bed
when my aunts/uncles/cousins come from italy - my parents sleep on the pull out couch and give THEM their bed.

Absolutely not!!!! I don't actually have ILs but I can't imagine anyone would want to sleep in the bed where we 'do the deed'.
We don't have a guest room so if we had guests they'd sleep on the futon in the office.
