It makes me sick to see something like this....and then see all of those WHO BUY their dogs when there are SOOOOO MANY WHO DIE.

It makes me even sadder to see people willing to adopt turned down by shelters and rescues for wanting to have children, or because they have to have jobs.

Apparently, pet ownership is only for the independantly wealthy.

I'm very happy that the dog was rescued and adopted, however.

Only rescues turn people down; municipal shelters do not.

Rescues will adopt to people that have jobs or children; they just have stricter rules. Most won't let you adopt a puppy if the puppy is going to be alone for more then 4 hours a day. They will let you adopt an adult dog though. I have worked with rescues and I'm very familiar with procedures. Please don't make what was suppose to be a thread to help get a endangered dog adopted, a negative vent about rescues.
