Repost from NWR-advice on what to wear to a bris

I am invited to go to my girlfriends new baby's Bris today. It is held at the firehouse in Great Neck. What the heck should me and FH wear??? I have no idea if this is a jacket and tie event or a khakies and polo event?

there was no formal invite, but I assumed that was because these things are planned on such short notice.... can't plan it till baby arrives.

Help?

wear what you would wear to a christening.. =) That's what I've done..
