REPOST FROM NWR***WARNING FROM A PHONE CALL I JUST GOT!****
i just got a call from this place saying i am getting a package with 800 dollars of airline vouchers and then went on to say they are part of my bank(bank of america and other banks where said)(washington mutual) i am like ok what do you want thinking it was a time share thing well this is where it got creepy! they said a series of numbers and proceeded to ask if i could look at my bank book and tell them if that was the routing number on my checks and i said what ummm no she then asked what where the numbers RED FLAG WENT UP! i asked for a supervisor and he got on and i told him his company had some b**** asking for that info and told him to remove me from there list. he then hung up after i told him i was calling my bank about this.
the name of the company was R&R escapes c/o great vacations value!
Please take care of your numbers! just wanted to give warning to this!

It's great that you told them off. I got a lot of spoof e-mail claiming to be from WAMU bank and there were links to click and input my account number. Fortunately, I recalled that I never gave the bank my e-mail so there is no way they could have sent it.
I called WAMU and sent it to them to investigate.
I used to get a lot of Citibank spoof e-mail at work. It got so bad that my office sent around a firmwide e-mail saying do not click the links for those e-mails.

Thanks for sharing this!!! I hope most people would know not to give out ANY bank related info over the phone especially to an unsolicited caller!!

I got similar e-mail from my E-BAY account. I remember that I NEVER had given them my account number and I reported them.....it had the E-bay logo just like ALL their other e-mails!

I get a lot of WAMU and EBAY spam mail. But it's sent to the wrong email address since I registered those under another name.
