Repost from the Parenting board...Does anyone else think the TTC and Parenting boards should be combined
I wanted to get the TTC's view point before I made the suggestion to LIW. I added a poll for this board.
It just seems like both are slower lately and a lot of people post the same things on both boards. Plus Parenting's description is for those thinking about or already have families. I just think they'll be a lot more discussion if the 2 boards are combined.

wow, a lot of views for this and yet only about 20 votes and no comments. I'm surprised.

No I don't think they should. It is nice to have this board to fall back on if you miscarry or you are having problems. I know when I miscarried last Feb it was tough to hear the birth and pregancy stories from the other ladies who were pregant when I was.
Some people are naturally more furtile then others and this is nice, peaceful, safe place to share your journey to a happy 9 months if you are 'trying'

I agree and I know a lot of us were very excited when LIW finally created our own TTC board. Its a nice way for us to go through an exciting and sometimes upsetting time together. I think the separate TTC board is a place that offers A LOT of support and encouragement. Hopefully, eventually all of us will be able to join the parenting board!!!!!
ETA - just curious, because I know right now there are more 'Yes' votes, what are some other opinions?

For me, it wouldn't matter but I know many people felt similar to you thus the creation of this board. So maybe it is best to keep as is.

Re: Repost from the Parenting board...Does anyone else think the TTC and Parenting boards should be combined
A couple of people said yes on the parenting board and the biggest reason was just to keep up a daily discussion. I understand how it's nice to have 2 boards I just felt that both of them have been VERY slow lately and I thought that if the 2 boards combined it might help keep the boards going. It would also be a good way to have people really get to know each other. Personally I find it hard to keep involved with everyone by going back and forth to the 2. A lot of people post questions on the TTC that people who are pregnant can probably help out a lot with. And like I said in my original post a lot of times the same topics get posted on the same boards.
In the end it's really not our choice anyway but I wanted to get an idea of what people felt before I made a suggestion to LIW.

I agree very much with this.
So do I! It was hard for me to go over there for awhile afterwards too!

Yes, so I could keep track of all you mom's and those TTC. I am back and forth.

I voted no. While I understand that a lot of the mom's and people TTC are not posting much anymore, I am sure that within the next several months, as more people get married, we will start to see more mom's and more people TTC. I think if we combined them now, we would be begging for a spilt again very soon.
