does the bp traditionally give a gift in addition to everything else they have spent money on?? i am feeling guilty that they are spending all this money on me and then to accept a gift seems just plain rude at this point.

even if they are travelling from all over and they've made it to all your functions..anyone else think that's a lot to ask?

Re: repost. ques about gift
I had to travel for weddings and basically told the bride or groom when I accepted that if I were in the BP, I wouldn't be able to afford a gift and they were fine with it.
If you are worried about it, why don't you just tell them that you know the wedding is expensive for them and that you consider their participation in the wedding to be their gift to you?

yup- even then!
I only t hink it is alot to ask if things have been really expensive for them and noone has kept that in mind- as long as it is not over the top and people have been considerate and mindful of the bp's expenditures, then I say: they knew it was going to cost when they said yes.
I have been in bp's where I had to travel and always gave great gifts- even when the bachelorette party and shower cost a FORTUNE
it is just one of those things- you would do the same for them
