Will most stores honor that price or is there anyway to get back your deposit if on the slip it says no refunds. My mother bascially got raped for the price she paid for her gown. I found the same gown 200 + dollars cheaper then what she paid. They are also charging her a set price of 65 dollars for alterations and this place will only charge for what they do. So taking up the hem, which she will probably need is 20 dollars or so. Should I bother calling up this place and tell them the price I found it for or if they can give her back her deposit so she can order elsewhere. The msrp for this dress is nowhere near the price she is paying also.

Re: Repost..Overpaid for dress
You can always try to call and speak with the store manager. Tell them you are extremely dissatisfied, and that you find it appalling that they can inflate prices like that in this economy. Tell them you expect them to charge you the MSRP, PERIOD or you will demand your deposit back and report them to BBB.
For the future, make sure you explain to your mom that one must research these things before putting down a deposit, for this exact reason. You have a good case though, so give it a try. Good luck!!
