Reprehensible

Reprehensible

So FH has been taking night classes at Suffolk and has been having casual conversations with a guy about his age that sits next to him. Turns out the guy is also engaged and is due to be married next Halloween. He even told FH about the decor etc. Well for the past few weeks FH said this guy has been talking up the girl that sits next to him. He said there was definite flirting going on, but said he figured it was harmless. Then last week he saw this guy walking the girl to her car (unsure what happened after that) and today they disappeared for a little while together during class. He was really bothered by this (his ex cheated on him multiple times and people who cheat disgust him) and i think it bothers him even more since this guy is engaged. Said this girl is probably so proud of him for going to school and is probably sitting at home working on their wedding meanwhile this guy is out whoring it up. He doesn't know the guy well enough to say anything and there's no proof that anything is even going on, but FH says he knows the signs and they are all there.

Feel so bad for this girl whomever she is!!!!! Just wanted to share the story. If you feel the need to cheat, then you shouldn't be getting married.

I was cheated on in a bad way in my last relationship (the one before FH). We dated for 5.5 YEARS. I put my heart and soul into that relationship and got s*it on at every turn... Thankfully, it all worked out for the best

ANYway... I could never cheat. FH would never cheat. If either of us needs to get out of our relationship we've made an agreement to do so before anything goes on. We NEVER see this happening, but cheating is the ONE thing we won't stand for... We'll work through everything else... if you cheat? Pack up your stuff and get out.

That's so horrible though... my gosh. If he still liked to hook up with other women -- he shouldn't be in a serious relationship, and Amanda you totally could have just outed someone's FH on LIW...

FH and I have the same agreement. If you feel like you have feelings for someone else, end it with me. It just wouldn't be fair to the relationship. Also, you cheat......even if it's a kiss, you are out the door. I just couldn't continue in the relationship knowing you were physical with someone else. He knows this. Also knows if i catch him, him better protect his junk cause I will hurt him.

Yeah, thought about the LIW outing as i typed this. i highly doubt it and as i said there's no proof but i guess it is possible. was thinking about posting on BHB but think that would be asking for trouble.

WOW what a jerk, especially because he was talking up about his wedding plans with your FH, thats just nuts, I feel bad for that guys FW. And i totally agree, if you are going to cheat-just end the relationship first there is no reason to hurt someone like that.

Re: Reprehensible

cheating happens all the time and opportunities present themselves if you look hard enough. ive been on almost every side of cheating.....ive been cheated on, i've cheated (granted i was 15 lol), and i was 'other woman' and it sux either way.

what it shows is a lack of respect for the significant other. its awful.

ye sure...i've had crushes here and there on this or that cute guy. but you leave it at that.....you have to be an adult and practice some self control.

unfortunately some ppl dont take their relationships seriously. before marriage or after.

if i was your FH i wouldnt say anything...unless this guy started opening up about his potential affair. then i would tell him that i dont respect cheating and that i have no interest in discussing it further.
if those two are having an affair then they will learn their lessons the hard way.

im not judging anyone who may take this post offensively. because ive been there, done that. we all make mistakes....just as long as ppl learn from those mistakes.

That's horrible!! Even though your FH has no real 'Proof' I think he should say something. It's not like he's friends with this guy, so there's no hurting a friendship or feelings or hurt. I just feel bad for that guy's fiancee.

i have to say, while i was in college i was engaged to my ex. through all my life i have been friends with majority of guys...i just seem to get along with them better. Do you know how many times people thought i was 'dating' some of these guys I hung out with?? Sh*t, i'm even still friends with them 8 years later and FH knows them and hangs out with them now!!

i'm not defending this guy in the least BUT maybe it's not what it seems. Sh*t, you all know how I feel about cheating (thanks to my ex-FH) but to have other people think I was cheating on him b/c of who I was hanging out with.....not cool.

maybe it's an attention thing? maybe she just responded to him and he likes that he still feels wanted by someone else?? doesn't mean he'll act upon it. I think your FH should mind his own business and if this guy is going to f*ck his relationship up or whatever, let him. it's not FH's place to say or do something....he's not a close friend or anything.

My fh has no plans on saying anything, knows it's not his place. Was only expressing his feelings on what he saw. and i only posted on here to share. as i said, he's only speculating, he has no proof. he was just shocked and upset by what he believes is going on because he sees the actions and recognizes them. he doesn't take marriage lightly. through all the cheating his ex did, he remained faithful because there are vows. i would hope this guy hasn't and will not act inappropriately with this girl.

Re: Reprehensible

When FH sees this guy talking to the other girl, FH should go up to them and ask him really pointed questions about his wedding and his fiance. Maybe this other chick doesn't even know he's engaged and that'll stop him in his tracks or at least force him to move on to someone else.
