Request by FH

Fh and I were discussing the honeymoon the other day. We were talking about going to Disney and staying at like the Grand Floridian which is phenominal or the Boardwalk one....anyway he wants me to ask you ladies if going to disney for the HM is i guess cheesy, childish, or in his words 'trashy'....In reality when its all said and done it will def cost a couple thousand more than going to like sandals in st. lucia or secrets all inclusive in puerta villarata. We just thought it would great b/c u can be there in 2 1/2 hours there is a ton of stuff to do and who the he!! doesnt love Disney! SO, what do you think??

I love Disney.......Love it. Just keep in mind that Disney can also be expensive. Dont let Mickey Mouse fool ya.....Everytime I've gone there I've spent a fortune...but had a great time.

Um.....I don't think its cheesy at all!!

I absolutely love that dang place...and have been there over ten times and it never gets old. I just love the feeling I get there!
We won't go there just for the sheer amount of times we have been there.

But honey...its what you want, and what you like.

It doesn't matter if people think its cheesy or not.
Its about a special time for you to spend with DH, as newlyweds, a break for the wedding, and a time to do some horizontal mamboing!!!!

So.....the only thing cheesy about it....is the word cheesy itself.

Do what you want...I freakin love disney!!!

No way Disney is where fantasies come true! The first time I went to Disney was as an adult with FH and he proposed to me right in front of the Magic Kingdom castle so Disney will always have a special place in my heart . I think in the future we will consider going for one of our anniversaries. If you and FH are big kids like me and my FH then I think you will have a great time! FH and I were screaming when we saw Mickey more than the little kids

ETA: Nina you so CRAZY

Re: Request by FH

ok.. if you wanna know anything about disney... 'I' am the person to talk to. i've been there about 20 times (7 in the past year and a half) going 2 more times this year.. have u ever seen the rooms in grand floridian? i've seen what the rooms look like and honestly.. it totally ruined it for me. i held GF very high on my list until i saw what the rooms look like. too 'gaudy' (hope that doesnt offend anyone) and too victorian. flower wallpapers that look like a great grandmother would have in their house.. but the outside and the lobbies are absolutely breathtaking... to me.. my dream place is the polynesian.. and u can pretend you're on your own lil island. its beyond words how gorgeous it is.. great food in the place.. cheaper than GF too.. another place that is beyond amazing is the animal kingdom lodge. OMG i need to stay at that place soon. the views of the animals is amazing.. the food (you HAVE to eat at boma.. best restaraunt i've eaten at in disney.. its a buffet african cuisine style.. service is great) at night they have a bonfire and the cast members tell camp stories (really cute) with rocking chairs all over the place. the feel at night is so romantic. we stayed out there on the rocking chairs staring into the night for hours. (how gay does that sound haha) i know you only asked for your opinion on disney.. and i wrote a storybook so im sorry. i dont think its tacky or cheesy to go on your honeymoon there.. its very romantic as long as you do it right (and if you have any more questions, please contact me.. i need to be a travel agent or something for disney because just discussing this place makes me so happy!!) i think for our honeymoon we'll go for a few days then somewhere else;.. (we're most likely getting engaged there.. we're getting married next year but he hasnt 'officially' popped the question and my dream was always to get proposed to there) there are alot of honeymooners there..and its only tradition to wear the official bride minnie and groom mickey ears with a vail. if you go to the front desk at a theme park and get a button that says 'we're on our honeymoon' you get great benefits.. you can go on rides multiple times (depending on the cast members) some might even move you right up to the front of the line.. dont be afraid to ask.. also when making dinner reservations, mention your honeymoon and you'll get quoted a good time or they might do something special (flowers or champagne or even give u the best seat of the house) just mention it.. but u have to get the button. alot of people buy those ears so they wont assume you're on your honeymoon unless u get that button.. ok seriously.. im done now hahah im sorry

Ok I'm going to be a Disneymooner so I of course don't think it is cheesy at all. We chose Disney for several reasons. I'm not a big beach person, and there is always something to do down there. We also got engaged down there so we have a great time everytime we go.

We are expanding our trip this time though to make it a little different. We are going to go to Sea World and Universal, and we will swim with the Dolphins at Discovery Cove. Also FH wants to do the race driver thing that disney has, I am going to give that to him as a gift since he thinks it is too expensive. Can you tell I love it there. Also pick yourself up the Couples Guide to Disney, there is plenty of info in there.

If it's what you 2 want then go with it. Just keep in mind the time of year, over the summer it will be jam packed with kids on summer vacation.

We went to Disney for our honeymoon and had the time of our lives!!!! Yes, it did cost more than going to a Sandals but it was well worth it...It was a personal decision for us and for anyone to say its 'cheesy', makes them very tacky and shows no class....Life is about being happy so do what will make you happy!!!
