Disney is sooooo not cheesy. I work in the travel industry, Disney is the second most popular HM destination for American couples (first being Hawaii). Disney can cost even more than Hawaii depending on the resort/packages you chose. The best points are it being a quick flight and there is so much to do. It can appeal to almost anyone.

You might want to consider a combo package. My cousin who is a travel agent, honeymooned at Disney for a week and then took a short plane ride to Sandals Negril for a week.

This way you can enjoy the best of both worlds!

Not cheesy at all. Some people get married at Disney and I think that if that is what you want, go for it!!!

It's a Honeymoon and I don't care if you spend it in a tent in your back yard, if that is what both of you love to do then to me that is a Honeymoon.

Enjoy and go for it.

I would say go for it. We are thinking about it also. When looking into prices for the all inclusive resorts there is a big price difference. Under the honeymoon chat group they have plenty of brides who are going there with great ideas.

I agree totally!! It's your honeymoon and where ever you and FH will like to spend it will be perfect. It is not cheesy at all! DIsney is the greatest place on earth!! You will have so much fun. Honestly the only reason FH and I are not going to Disney is because I have been there a billion times myself and a few times already with FH and we wanted to do some place different for us. Otherwise Disney definitely would have been an option! By the way, make sure you do Universal also (both parks) if you plan the Disney honeymoon. Universal is awesome as well! Good Luck!

ok.. if you wanna know anything about disney... 'I' am the person to talk to. i've been there about 20 times (7 in the past year and a half) going 2 more times this year.. have u ever seen the rooms in grand floridian? i've seen what the rooms look like and honestly.. it totally ruined it for me. i held GF very high on my list until i saw what the rooms look like. too 'gaudy' (hope that doesnt offend anyone) and too victorian. flower wallpapers that look like a great grandmother would have in their house.. but the outside and the lobbies are absolutely breathtaking... to me.. my dream place is the polynesian.. and u can pretend you're on your own lil island. its beyond words how gorgeous it is.. great food in the place.. cheaper than GF too.. another place that is beyond amazing is the animal kingdom lodge. OMG i need to stay at that place soon. the views of the animals is amazing.. the food (you HAVE to eat at boma.. best restaraunt i've eaten at in disney.. its a buffet african cuisine style.. service is great) at night they have a bonfire and the cast members tell camp stories (really cute) with rocking chairs all over the place. the feel at night is so romantic. we stayed out there on the rocking chairs staring into the night for hours. (how gay does that sound haha) i know you only asked for your opinion on disney.. and i wrote a storybook so im sorry. i dont think its tacky or cheesy to go on your honeymoon there.. its very romantic as long as you do it right (and if you have any more questions, please contact me.. i need to be a travel agent or something for disney because just discussing this place makes me so happy!!) i think for our honeymoon we'll go for a few days then somewhere else;.. (we're most likely getting engaged there.. we're getting married next year but he hasnt 'officially' popped the question and my dream was always to get proposed to there) there are alot of honeymooners there..and its only tradition to wear the official bride minnie and groom mickey ears with a vail. if you go to the front desk at a theme park and get a button that says 'we're on our honeymoon' you get great benefits.. you can go on rides multiple times (depending on the cast members) some might even move you right up to the front of the line.. dont be afraid to ask.. also when making dinner reservations, mention your honeymoon and you'll get quoted a good time or they might do something special (flowers or champagne or even give u the best seat of the house) just mention it.. but u have to get the button. alot of people buy those ears so they wont assume you're on your honeymoon unless u get that button.. ok seriously.. im done now hahah im sorry

WOW! Thanks a lot.....very helpful. If we go I will be sure to get the buttons!
