Reservation at Macy's?

Reservation at Macy's?

I was thinking about running by the Macy's in Manhasset after work today. I was told they have Bridal gowns there.

Does anyone know if you have to make an appointment? I’ve been searching online but I can’t find a bridal department to contact.

I made an appointment when I went, though it wasn't too busy.

I'd give a call first:

I just walked in there one day and they were asking me if I need help so I don't think you need an appt but you still might want to call first, in case it's crowded

You might want to look at other posts about this store. I was not very happy there and wish I went somewhere else. I think there are other brides that would agree.

I got tons of negative feedback on Macys when I first asked about it, but I had a great experience there. The staff was VERY nice.

I did not, however, order a dress from there. The dress I loved there was cheaper through Phyllis / gownfind.com... So if I wind up selecting that dress, I'll get it there. I cannot comment on what happens after ordering from there. I found the staff friendly while I was trying on gowns, though. I went the day before Thanksgiving during the day, though, so the store was pretty empty. There was one other person there trying on gowns and I almost never saw her.

When I went I called and was told that I needed an appointment, so I made one. When I arrived I was ignored, when I told them I had an appointment they looked annoyed and were not helpful. When I finally got some kind of assistance The basically pulled dresses off the rack and gave them to me, no advice no assistance. I wanted to see how it looked pinned up and they wouldnt di that for me. But they put the most expencive head pieces on me, which were not what I was looking for at all.

Unless you know exactly whay dress you want from there and dont care about customer service I would just go somewhere else. I feel like I wasted my time there.
