Reserving Hotel Blocks
Hi - I'm a 2014 bride crashing! I wanted to know if any of you married ladies did not reserve hotel blocks for your wedding. Did you regret it? I don't have too many OOT family and friends, so my FW and I really don't see a need to do so. We figured anyone coming from out of town will most likely stay with other family members. But in the case of a handful of people, I didn't know if it really made a difference. Figured we could just list neighboring hotels on our wedding website.

Re: Reserving Hotel Blocks
Hmmm...what you can do is call the nearest hotel to your venue and see if you can block anything less than 10 rooms. I'm not sure they will though. If you think you will have less than 5 occupied, I wouldn't worry about it. I think including info for the nearest hotel is a great idea.I blocked 15 rooms and ended up booking over 20 at the hotel. You never know!

Reserving Hotel Blocks - Long Island Weddings
I think that's going to be my next focus. I'll see if my venue has a preferred hotel too. Maybe I can block off the 10. Thanks for the insight. I love your pics btw J9JP2013. Your look was my fave!! :0)Welcome New Vendors
