RESPONSE CARD CONFUSION

I just spoke to my cousin who is getting married in March. She having a hard time with her response cards because people are confusing the wording. Her response card options are:

__ accepts with pleasure
__ declines with regret
__number of guests attending

She is having to call a bunch of people because some people are checking off 'accepts with pleasure' and then writing the number of guests they're bringing with them, not including themselves..... Others are checking 'accepts with pleasure' and writing the total number of guests attending including themselves.

So for example, if someone's going by themselves they might check off 'accepts with pleasure' and put 0 as number of guests attending, instead of 1, because theyre not bringing any guests with them. Someone else who was going alone would check off 'accepts with pleasure' and put 1 on the number line. So now she doesn't know what it means when someone writes 1 on the guest line. Are they coming alone or are they coming with 1 guest.

I hope this isn't confusing anyone. I just wanted to give peopel a heads up that this wording is confusing her guests... hope this helps

thats strange... those options are very common... outside of calling everyone i dont see how she can possibly figure if every yes she gets back is correct...

exactly.. she can't... so thats what she's worried about.... she called a couple of the people who repsonded one.... and they meant one guest in addition to themselves.... so really they should have written two


i have these same options on my response cards... i hope it doesnt confuse people

I ust showed my mom my response card...she was worried about something similiar, but actually the opposite -that people would put down extra family members that wenre invited!

I left that off my response card for that same reason. I was afraid that people would think its an open invitation to have their whole damn family come
