Who did you address the envelope to. They are coming to my house, but who do I write?

Re: response card envelope question
I think etiquette says it should be addressed to whoever is hosting the wedding, but I don't think there's anything wrong with addressing it to yourself

It's address to the host of the wedding, regardless of address.

So, the invitation says 'together with their parents...' so its pretty much all of us hosting. Now what?? This is so confusing

Re: response card envelope question
My parents are hosting but I put FH and my name on the response envelopes. If they went to my parents house I would be driving over there every night to collect them! Didn't make sense, since I'm the one with the guest list. And I don't trust anyone else to keep track!! lol

Re: response card envelope question
You dont have to put a name, you can jsut have the address on the back. That way its not directed towards one particular person or people.

dont be confused!
For the envelopes going BACK to you with the response card in them, I would just go btw you or your parents. I did the together with theirparents thing, and its going back to my parents, bc i still live there, and mom is helping me keep track.
Its all a matter of if u want ur name or ask ur mom if she wants theirs...if they dont want it put ur own!

Re: response card envelope question
Our invite said Together with their Parents, the return address on the invite was our (FH and I) apt.
So I put the RSVP envelope addressed to me only at our apt. I did not want to have to follow up with my parents every night, that's silly and a waste of my time. It made much more sense to come directly to us.

same here. FH and I live together OOT but my parents are 'hosting' and the response cards are going back to my parents. I will be in NY for part of the summer, so hopefully people will RSVP early so I can successfully mailbox stalk.

wont that maybe cause problems, i am not doing this but lets say its easier to mail to fh's and somebody puts their parents names with fh's address then what if the mail is not delivered bc of that
i want to have rsvps sent to fh's house, i guess we can put both mine and fh's name. It is alot easier being mailed to his house than mine.

I agree... the name and address need to match. The only way to get around that is to put
Ms. Bride-to-Be c/o Person Who Lives at the Address Address Line 1 Address Line 2
(which looks bad IMO)

Re: response card envelope question
I addressed it to myself...we are receiving help from our parents, but we will be moving soon and I want to have mail forwarded to my new address b/c I think I will be excited to receive the RSVP's and I would rather not have to retrieve them from my parents house once I move

Re: response card envelope question
On the invite I wrote together with their parents.
On the response card I wrote both of our names, as we live together and they were coming to us.
I am not really sure if that was proper, but it's our wedding, we are paying for it and people were responding to us.
HTH!
