So the way it is now: The courtesy of your response is requested prior to the sixth of October M______________ (name line) ___ Accepts with Pleasure ___ Declines with Regret ___ Number of Guests Attending
I REALLY do NOT want to leave it like that. I don't want them to free hand write in the number because I'm scared of what will come back to me. Will they put ONE when they mean TWO thinking that guests is their guests? Will they put 5 then ask for a 6th? HAHAHA CAN YOU TELL WHERE I GOT THESE EXAMPLES FROM??
WHAT ARE YOUR SUGGESTIONS FOR ALTERNATIVE OPTIONS??

OK so: ___ Accepts with Pleasure ___ Declines with Regret
2 seats have been reserved for your honor ___ will be attending
I wrote everything the same as yours except for the part that says number of guests coming i wrote __ of 2 guests attending. I just wrote whatever amount of seats i had reserved for them

I didn't put the number attending line..... I am hoping ppl use their brains! I was afraid the line would give people free reign and think, Oh, I can bring someone?

I'm confused. What do you mean? Design wise? I'm asking about wording. Is that what you are talkign about?

There is no number on it. It says We have reserved seats in your honour. Should that be 2 seats?
Your pic helps though. I never thought to put the names on there.

So how do you know if they are going solo or with someone? For seating and total head count purposes?

It's a blank card. I wrote with my calligraphy pens the number of seats reserved, which eliminated the problem of how many guests are invited entirely. I left it for them to write the names of whomever was coming and I numbered the backs, I just wrote how many are invited.

Well, every RSVP card I ever got you just wrote the names of ppl coming on the line. So I am assuming people know the deal!
We'll see though!

OOO, my sample invite just has a short line for a check or a number. It's DEF not long enough for a name.

Re: Response Card Wording
Oh.... I meant on the M______________ line
I've seen it done both ways
Honestly I think people would screw it up either way, so I don't think it matters!!

Damn, I like that: '___ Seats have been reserved for you' wording. I really wish I would've put that on mine...
I already had an issue with a friend who was invited (and single), bringing a guest

We've only had one issue with that and it's cause he lost the invite and the rsvp card. It also helps when you don't want little kiddos running around. Can't spell it out any clearer than that.

Re: Response Card Wording
Mine had the names pre-printed so the invitees knew exactly who was invited. If I invited them with guest it says John Doe & Guest.
2 seats have been reserved for you at our wedding and reception.
Yes, ____ of us will be attending ____ We are unable to attend
So far I haven't had any problems.

Re: Response Card Wording
My RSVP said this:
We hope you will be able to share in our special day of joy and celebration. Please let us know before 12 August 2009 ____________________________
2 seats have been reserved in your honor
_________ accepts ____ regrets
You are right, you can't leave the amount attending blank. You may get a response for 8. Good Luck!
